Note the red charging handle, its associated cable leading to the aft of the turret, and the pulley at the aft of the turret. In the cramped quarters of the ball turret, the ball turret gunner could not directly cock the gun; instead, the gunner pulled this handle, the cable of which attached to the machine gun, in order to charge (cock) the weapon.

Also notice the right foot rest (the half-moon above the forward charging handle pulley, just right of the round forward window).

The oxygen cylinder pressure gauge and oxygen flow indicator (blinker) are at bottom center.
