F4U Corsair

Among the planes at the event was an F4U Corsair. According to this forum thread, it was the Indiana Aviation Museum F4U-5 (which doesn't seem to have a nickname or serial number). This Corsair was delivered to the Navy on October 19, 1948.

Unfortunately, the newspaper published an incorrect event schedule and I did not arrive until shortly before the plane departed. Thus, most of the walk-around pictures are from me walking around the plane, but rather from the plane taxiing to the runway for its departure flight.
