A stabilized platform consists of three mutually-perpendicular gyros (i.e., one on each of the X, Y, and Z axes). It would seem that the two horizontal black cylinders would house two of the gyros, and there could be one mounted vertically in the center portion (although it looks like there's a third black cylinder located approximately 180° from the right-hand cylinder, so my speculation may be incorrect).
